Maz is a singer, songwriter/composer and multi-instrumentalist. Mainly playing guitar, flute and harmonium, the songs and tunes she plays and writes mainly lie within the realms of contemporary and traditional folk. Maz’s musical career so far has seen her produce EPs of original music, both solo and in bands; perform internationally, both original music and traditional folk songs and tunes of the British Isles and Eastern Europe; write and record ecologically-inspired and improvised music in landscapes such as shorelines and forests; lead singing workshops centered around the traditional music and folklore of trees; and play music for circus, theatre and storytelling, as a performer, composer and musical director.

A lifelong singer with 16 years of performing and recording experience, Maz has played around the UK festival and gig circuit in various bands as well as solo, as well as in Brazil, Croatia, Morocco and Portugal.
She is currently playing music with Footsbarn Theatre in France; embarking on a new duo project with accordionist and singer Lissy Stardust; and slowly working on a solo album.

Maz is available as a solo performer, as well as part of duo and trio ensembles. She is available for session work as a singer, flautist and guitarist. She also offers music tuition in vocals, guitar, flute and songwriting, as well as studio recording mentoring for young people.
